Casino Night
On March 10th, 2012 the Friends of Tranquillity will hold its biggest event and fundraiser of the year. For the second year in a row the event will not just be a Dinner Dance but will be a Tranquillity Casino Night. Last year’s event was a tremendously fun evening for all who attended. In addition to a DJ playing great dance music, a cocktail hour, wonderful dinner, open bar, and time to spend with friends old and new, there was Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and more. Everyone who attends the event gets a set amount of TY Bucks to gamble with. You also have the opportunity to buy more throughout the evening (with all proceeds going to the Friends of Tranquillity organization). At the end of the evening all TY Bucks are exchanged for raffle tickets that you can put towards any or all of the many great prizes available to win. Last year there were big screen TV’s, IPod’s and more. Whether you gamble or not, win or lose, it is sure to be another great evening and we hope to see you there.
Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets are $10 each. Tickets are sold on Alumni Day at camp as well as throughout the year by various Alumni members. The raffle prize winners are drawn at the Dinner Dance in March where prizes in the past have included iPods, televisions, sporting event tickets, and a weekend at Tranquillity as guests of camp. In the next few weeks you will be receiving a set of raffle tickets in the mail. You can sell this to help raise funds or buy them yourself. If you are in need of more raffle tickets to sell please contact Harold Weinman.
Journal Ads
You can take an ad in the Dinner Dance journal. Ads may be in support of current campers; taken out by your company or business, in memoriam of those who have passed away, or for other reasons as well. Ad blanks can be obtained by clicking the link below:
Donations
The Alumni will gladly accept donations of any amount that can be applied to the cost of your Dinner Dance tickets. Please make checks payable to Tranquillity Alumni. All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
We hope that you will mark March 10th on your calendar this year and make it a point to support Tranquillity while having a great time. You can even get your camp friends together and reserve a table for the event. (Boom-chick-a-Boom optional)
