2010 Summer

Tranquillity camp Reunion

On March 13^th  Tranquillity Camp had its 2010 Reunion for campers and staff.  Held at the Bayside Jewish Center the turnout was the best in many years and a wonderful time was had by all. After spending some time catching up with old friends the scheduled program began with the singing of the Tranquility Hymn. 

The campers and staff which numbered over 140 then were welcomed by Richard Lerner, Richard Lawrence and Harold Weinman.  Everyone then got the chance to relive the summer of 2010, while enjoying their Tootsie Roll Pop, by viewing the camp video as produced by Wendy Seslowsky.  After receiving some updates concerning the upcoming summer, the 2010 All-Around Camper trophies were awarded.  The winner in the girls camp was Lisa Guerrera, and in the boys camp Aaron Brown.  After the trophies ice cream…yum, yum was handed out for everyone’s enjoyment. 

The final part of the afternoon was the drawing of raffle numbers and the awarding of prizes.  A plethora of prizes were handed out before Ira got to the final four Grand Prizes.  By the end of the raffles, everyone started saying goodbye and looking forward to the 2011 Summer.
